Not everyone can showcase two birthday cards from different Sovereigns. Gladys Rudd received her 100th Birthday card from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and recently added a 105th birthday card from King Charles III to her Royal card collection.
Gladys, who loves reading books on her iPad with a little assistance from her daughter-in-law, celebrated with a large family get-together and said the festivities have ‘gone on for a couple of weeks now’.
Gladys was born in Murgon, Queensland in 1918. After living in Papua New Guinea for about 15 years, Gladys, her husband Harold and their children moved to Bundaberg. After Harold passed away, she moved to Tasmania and then Brisbane with her son and his wife. Gladys still cooks her Rolled Oats with banana for breakfast and says her lightweight wheelie walker and tipper kettle are the best things ever invented!
