Bringing connection, joy and community
to older Queenslanders
The Heartbeat Program is Suncare’s way of giving back, a thoughtful, strategic reinvestment in the communities we serve. It reflects our vision of a future where growing older is empowering, enriching and full of possibility.
Rooted in Suncare’s purpose to help older Australians thrive at home and in life, Heartbeat brings people together through shared experiences, good food and genuine connection. Each event creates space for laughter, conversation and belonging, helping participants feel part of something bigger.
Creating connection and reducing isolation
Heartbeat is designed for people aged 65 and over (or 50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) who may not yet receive aged care services. By reaching those who are new to support networks, the program helps reduce social isolation and improves overall wellbeing.
This inclusive approach ensures that everyone, regardless of background, location or circumstance, has the opportunity to connect, share stories and build meaningful relationships within their community.
Why it matters
- Promotes social inclusion and community belonging
- Encourages mental and emotional wellbeing
- Builds awareness of local support and aged care options
- Strengthens Suncare’s connection with the regions we serve
