Boronia Cottage is is a modern, purpose-built respite home designed specifically for short-term care. Unlike large group settings where people can feel lost or overwhelmed, Boronia Cottage is intentionally small, allowing us to offer more one-on-one support, deeper connection, and truly individualised care. 

From the moment your loved one arrives, they’re welcomed into a warm, homely environment - one that feels safe, relaxed and familiar.

At Boronia Cottage, respite is shaped around relationships, choice and time. We intentionally keep our respite small. This means your loved one isn't one of many - they're known by name, understood as an individual and supported in ways that reflect who they are and how they live.

  • Visits to craft markets or relaxed fishing trips
  • Coffee by the sea or fish and chips on the beach

Originally a 1970s homestead, Boronia Cottage was fully rebuilt in 2012 specifically for respite care.

The home features:

  • Spacious shared living areas
  • Comfortable private bedrooms
  • All-ability ensuite bathrooms
  • A modern, fully equipped kitchen
  • Easy, accessible design throughout

Every detail has been considered to support safety, comfort and independence.
