Christmas has come early for Suncare customer Alby Powerlett!
Through a very generous anonymous donation, Suncare was able to provide Alby with a brand-new microwave and toaster, as well as some Meals on Wheels vouchers.
“I was blown away by it. It’s just fantastic”, Alby said.
“It really puts a smile on my dial.”
That smile was one Alby could not wipe away when his Customer Coordinator Margaret made the special delivery.
Having been with Suncare since April last year, Margaret said Alby is one of her most “appreciative customers”.
“He just loves Suncare,” Margaret said.
For 93-year-old Alby, his new appliances and meal vouchers will only enhance the safe and independent lifestyle Suncare helps to provide.
Receiving weekly domestic assistance as well as social support, nursing and occupational therapy services, Alby said it is Suncare’s outings and activities he enjoys most.
“On the social side of things, particularly on a Wednesday, I head down to the Suncare Community Centre,” he said.
“The events there are always so enjoyable and interesting.”
