After COVID-19 restrictions lifted, much-loved Suncare customer Jim Frew was welcomed back to Boronia Cottage with open arms.
“I look forward to visiting fortnightly. It is so relaxing, it’s like a second home,” said Jim.
Boronia Activities Coordinator and our team of Support Workers have created a welcoming home-away-from-home experience. Nutritious home-cooked meals are on offer and each stay is tailored to suit individual customers. A variety of COVID-safe activities are also available for customers – picnics, visits to cafes and restaurants, weekend markets and local sightseeing. In-house activities include arts and crafts, games and trivia, cooking experiences, movie days and even breakfast in bed.
“It’s up to you what you want to do. You can do as little or as much as you like, and the staff are always willing to help,” said Jim.

Our professional and dedicated staff provide a first class holiday experience for customers with 24/7 care, during the occasions when their partners or carers need to take some time to attend to everyday activities, visit relatives or receive medical treatment.
The Cottage is available for customers receiving Home Care Packages, Short Term Restorative Care or a Commonwealth Home Support Programme.
