Suncare Activities Coordinators Michaela and Nikki are known for creating some of Suncare’s most exciting events and activities.
Michaela coordinates events at the Suncare Buddina Activities Centre and the Suncare Community Centre at Maroochydore. Nikki is responsible for the activities that make Suncare’s Boronia Cottage on Bribie Island a true home away from home.
The diverse activities at our Buddina Community Centre have included the Suncare Garden Party, art groups, mahjong, sewing groups and Sip and Paint morning teas.
Suncare’s purpose-built respite facility, Boronia Cottage, is well known as a home away from home and guests can enjoy outings and activities on beautiful Bribie Island. Comfortable chairs in the lounge area make for pleasant television or reading time and customers can enjoy breakfast in bed or experience a range of fun outings including picnics, visits to cafes, or sightseeing trips to local attractions and locations.

Last year Suncare co-sponsored the Annual Senior’s Mooloolaba Rotary Christmas Party held at Kawana Waters State College. The festive celebration was enjoyed by all, with a delicious two course meal prepared by Kawana Waters State College senior hospitality students as part of their final assessment.
Guests also enjoyed entertainment provided by junior and senior students, and the Junior Choir was a highlight, stealing hearts with their rendition of Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and John Farnham’s ‘You’re the Voice.’ The Christmas spirit was in abundance and the event was enjoyed by all.
Planning for this year’s event is already underway and it promises to be just as much fun.
